How To Solve a “Hold For Authentication” Error 

(In 3 Easy Steps)


If you’re sending a print job and the printer says “Hold for Authentication”, please try the recommended solution below.


Step 1: If you get this error click on the printer icon in your dock and a window will pop up.



Step 2: Click on the padlock with the circular arrow around it.  



Step 3: Make sure your username and password are typed in and the checkbox is checked and click “OK”.
