This article is for uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom for Windows devices that are NOT being managed through Intune (you can ask the IT Department if you are unsure if your device is being managed in Intune).
If you are having trouble with Zoom, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it to try to resolve the issue.
Uninstall Zoom
- Click on the Search Bar (bottom-left corner of your screen).
- Type Apps in the search bar and you should see Add or remove programs in the results.
- Click on Add or remove programs and a new Settings window will open.
- Find the Zoom app, click on it and select Uninstall. (If you are on Windows 11, you'll need to click the 3 dots at the far right side of the Zoom App entry.)
Install Zoom
Open your web browser and navigate to zoom.us/download.
Click Download under the Zoom Desktop Client.
The app should begin downloading. Launch the installer when it is finished.
The app should open when it is finished. If it does not, go ahead and search for it in the Search Bar at the bottom left corner of your screen.
When the app starts, check the box to Automatically keep Zoom desktop client up to date and click Done.
Now you can sign in to the app and use Zoom.
