Description
This procedure is designed to maintain consistent management of student IDs at the elementary level.
Steps
Secondary Transportation ID Management
Who’s Responsible

Students must have a current ID to board school buses and receive transportation services..
Bus Driver/Building Administration

If a student does not have an ID, the Bus Driver will look up the student and provide transportation services.
The student will purchase a new ID the next school day.
Failure to provide an ID for transportation after three days will result in progressive discipline (draft).
Building Administration

If a student refuses to swipe on or off the bus while the bus, administration should be called to address the behavior:

Refusal to swipe on or off the bus is considered insubordination.
Students will receive consequences consistent with progressive discipline.

Refusal to provide a name for transportation purposes is considered insubordination.
Students will receive consequences consistent with progressive discipline.

If a student habitually refuses to swipe on or off the bus or habitually refuses to provide their name for transportation purposes, students will receive progressive discipline including suspension from transportation services.
