If you’re having trouble with your Windows device, please check to see if it is fully updated. Below are guided instructions on how to update your Windows 10 device.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Settings
Click the "Start/Windows" icon on the bottom left of your screen
In the left column of the “Menu” that pops up, select the “Settings” icon (looks like a gear)
Step 2: Updates & Security
Navigate to the very last item called “Update & Security”
Step 3: Checking for Updates
In the “Updates & Security” screen, select “Check for Updates”
If you’re up to date, the area just under the “Windows Update” header will say “you’re up to date”
If you have pending updates, the list of updates will appear under the “Check for Updates” button
If you have updates, select the “Download and Install Now” text to initiate the process.
Note: Depending on the number and size of required updates, this could take a while. You’ll want to make sure the computer is plugged in and has a consistent internet connection (either WiFi or Ethernet). Once completed, restart your computer for the updates to take effect.
