Note: This software is for newer projectors in the building and may not work with older models. If you have an older projector, see the article entitled EasyMP Network Projection. Please consult the IT Technician stationed at your building if you have questions about which wireless projection software to use with your projector. Also, keep in mind that your projector must have LAN capabilities and must have a wired connection to the network in order to use this software.

Set up iProjection to use on your wireless projector

  1. Open Epson iProjection Ver.2.22.
  2. Make sure Advanced Connection Mode is selected and check the box that says "Set the selected Connection Mode as the default mode for future connections," then click OK.
  3. You will see a message saying, "Unable to search for projectors due to firewall. Do you want to disable the firewall?" Click Yes. This will make an exception in the firewall to allow this program to work.
  4. You should see a message appear saying, "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Click Yes.
  5. You will see a message saying "No projector was found." This is normal. Click OK.
  6. Click the Manual search tab in the left column of the Epson iProjecton window.
  7. Set your projector to LAN mode by pressing the LAN button on the remote. You should notice an IP address listed on the screen. Type this number exactly as it's shown into the field on your computer and click OK. (Some newer projectors won't display this screen for very long. That's normal. Try to take a picture of the IP address with a mobile device so that you can take your time entering the IP address in the next step.)
  8. Enter the IP address from the previous step in the field next to the Search button near the top of the Epson iProjection window and click Search.
  9. You should now see a projector in the list on the EasyMP Network Projection window. Select the printer and click Join.
  10. You will need to press the LAN button on the remote once more to switch sources on the projector.
Note: You can save projectors to your profile by right-clicking the projector from the Projector List - Manual search pane and choosing Add Item to Profile. You can choose a name for your projector and click OK to save it. This will allow you to select projectors you've previously connected to again without having to retype the IP address.

Troubleshooting

If you don't see the option to choose Advanced Connection Mode, try the following steps to revert some settings so that you're able to choose those options upon starting the application again.

  1. Click Set options in the bottom corner of the window next to the Join button.
  2. Navigate to the General settings tab.
  3. Mark the checkbox next to the Display Connection Mode Selection window on startup option.
  4. Click OK and close out of the program completely.

The next time you go to start the program, you should have the choice once more to select Advanced Connection Mode.
