Apple TV Audio Stops Working

Once in a while the Apple TVs will stop relaying sound to the projector(s). We believe the reason for this is due to the latest update for the TVOS (TV Operating System). It seems to have caused some problems that we are hoping will be resolved in the next update to the TVOS. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:


Restart the Apple TV

  1.  Open the Settings App by pressing the Menu button on the Apple TV Remote and selecting it on the screen.
  2. Navigate to Settings > System > Restart. IMPORTANT: Do not select Reset. This will reset settings on your Apple TV and will require a technician to set up your device from factory defaults.
  3. Once the Apple TV restarts, you should have sound back on your Apple TV.
